Elections - Our annual elections were held. Here is who was voted into office:
President: Norm Marini
First Vice President: Mike DeSchalit
Second Vice President: John Shryock
Treasurer: Joe Duperry
Secretary: Greg Chmara
Historian: Brett Shaw
Sergeant at Arms: Tim Ayres
Congratulations to the 1997 Officers! Thanks to all of those who ran for an office.
Banquet - Saturday, January 18 is the big day for our annual banquet. Joe Duperry has already signed up about fourteen of our club's past Presidents to entertain us during the show portion of the banquet. We will also be bringing in some outside talent this year: past President Geoff Williams. As Geoff hails from snowy Minnesota now a days, he will have an opportunity to thaw out in Sunny Tucson. T-Shirts - If you did not get a chance to purchase a Stars of Magic `96 T-shirt, they will be on sale at Williams' Magic. Each commemorative shirt sells for $6.50. Act now, while supplies last! Party - Thanks to Lillian and Chris Meyer for hosting the club's party on November 16th. While turn out was reported to be low, a good time was had by all that attended. Future Lectures - We are arranging to bring Jay Sankey to the Old Pueblo to lecture for our club in January. Jay is a well-known Canadian close up performer who should have lots of solid material to challenge all of our membership. We will let you know of the date as this event gets closer.
