Retaliation Upon Us - Phoenix Strikes 4/7
They intend to Get Even for our previous move

The wild bunch from the Phoenix S.A.M. will retaliate upon us April 7 at our regular meeting at the Hotel Park. They indicate their best of the best will be arriving to show us how it should be done. Not a threat to be ignored, show MC Robert Bluemle says we will be thrilled by:

Board Meeting
President Norm Marini conducted a board meeting March 3 with a quorum of officers present. Stuart Herzog discussed liability and contract issues of the new spotlight with the board. Insurance options are to be explored. Also the room price for the use of the hotel is to be raised. Several board members were asked to check for alternative locations. Our secretary was asked to check if there was a national handbook available.

Prexy's Message
Well so far so good, the club seems to be hanging together no great catastrophic disasters and we seem to still have our meeting place. Cool.
On that note for those who may not be in the know we are on a look out for new possible meeting places so any good ideas please forward them. As much as we love the coziness of Hotel Park their propossed increase makes it neccessary for us to look around. Hey who cares as long as all of us fun loving magic nuts have a place to sit and enjoy each others pleasant company . Ok, ok , enough, we'll find a place no matter what.
Hey you don't want to miss this coming meeting. The Phoenix group is a lot of fun. In case you did'nt catch them last time, man they had everything from balloon animals to mentalism--zzzzz. Really, it was a great time and I believe guys here are still using the material they stole... well I am.

Minutes
The meeting was called to Order by President Marini. Minutes and the treasurers report ($3178.57 in the bank) were accepted by vote.

The matter of fees and the meeting place were discussed. Motion passed to meet the increase at the Hotel Park but also to pursue other locations.

Lecture potentials were announced and president Marini was authorized to schedule them. A Local Rope Lecture was volunteered by Gene Collins for 3/24.

President Marini announced the board had approved putting together a national initiation in May. All interested must sign up with him.

Stars of Magic has been set for Sept. 20 at the Leo Rich Theater. June will see our stage contest at Gaslight.

Stuart Herzog was welcomed into membership.

A brief discussion was held on expanding our web site to include a trick of the month.
